Re: Need help with a Birdog

I've had a similar problem. Half the time when I turn my birdog on it comes on for a second or two and then a dotted line appears across the display and it becomes totally nonresponsive. Sometimes if I let it sit for 5 mins or so it will come back on by itself. Most times though I end up having to take off the battery cover and unplug the wires leading to the battery. After plugging the battery back up it usually works fine but sometimes the battery charge indicator has gone from full charge to almost dead. The manual said something about the birdog shutting down if it detects a bad connection to the lnb but I've tried using a new cable and still have problems. Sometimes I think it helps to turn on the birdog before attaching the connector to the port. One of these days I'm not going to be able to get it to work and I'll have to pull out my POS digistat and hope I can make it work. Any helpfull comments would be appreciated.
