The differnce?? Plenty and all of it is small stuff. Correct me where I error guys.
Com Scope QR comes in slightly larger than the normal sizes for lower attenuation or loss rates. the alumin is thinner. Hence it handles a little better at installation.
MC2's approach to cable building is to use plastic discs spaced evenly through out the length of the cable. The disc provides the support that the foam dielectric does in P3 and QR cables. The air gap between discs is to allow the signal to go thru the cable with a low loss rate
P-3 cable is the third generation of cable developed by Com Scope
It uses a dielectric that is made by injecting the foam with a gas or air. This injection process lightens the foam, yet allows it to retain its structural stabily. Again an attempt to have the cables center conductor float in a bed of air. This is desireable since air is the perfect medium to transmit a signal through. The loss of signal is the smallest. Cable makers have not been able to suspend the center conductors of their cables in just air and have the signal come out the other end. The three types you asked about are the most distinctive yet most common types of hard line on the mmarket today. With apologies to Times Fiber, (they also make a good hardline cable_
