Most businesses don't calculate their income on a daily basis, and while the idea sounds great - it just won't work. If you pump your gas the day before or after, it is still the expected income that the oil companies are looking for.....
But if everyone picked ONE company (like Chevron or ExxonMobil) and stopped buying gas from that company FOREVER then that would make a better dent in at least one oil companies......
