I was living in crackville for a bit but was working cable. Some tweaker comes to my apartment and wants to sell me a dewalt. Has the owners' name on it in sharpie. I recognized the name!
I took that friggin drill and slammed the door on his face.
Two days later, I went to the other shop to see if the tech still worked there. He got his drill back, no charge.
I know you probably won't get yours back. I hope you can smile to know that someone did. Your drill is probably in a pawn shop somewhere. Let's hope that it finds its way from there into the hands of a struggling tech who's just starting out and maybe he finally gets himself off the ropes and can feed his kids with his new job and second-hand tools.
