I hired a sweep (cable God) tech to do some splicing for me when there wasn't any sweep available, he knew sweep like the back of his hand but as I found out was not qualified to do production splicing. It was some of the ugliest splicing I've ever seen and the worst part he created outages, he didn't last a week and I had to fix his s###. To me there is a progression in the industry and you shouldn't skip splicing to get to sweep.
