Duck.....I feel for your friend and the pain he must be in. The best thing he can do is let her go. Life is too short to be miserable all the time. Jealousy and hate are emotions that consume your soul.
Unless she has something to offer him that he can not live without like insulin to a diabetic, then he does not have a reason to invest a single penny in to catching her in the act.
He should know that he has worth and that worth should be second to none in love and life.
If I even suspected my husband of cheating, I would emotionally detach from him immediately and move on without him forever without a chance to reconcile.
Why so harsh? Because I don't want to live a life where jealousy and suspicion are ruling my every move and every deicion.
A person who is on love wants their partner to have the best of everything. To put someone in a position where they are miserable is not love and it is not healthy. Tell him to cut his losses and move on.
