Re: Retainage

I started out working for Shanco. They were bought out by Mastec and for years it was not bad to work for them. They got so big and mis-managed that they lost control. I'm glad that the contractor that I worked for in Ga. didn't backcharge me for the bogus backcharges that they received at the end of the yr. The sad part about it...they were backcharged for work that we did and they proved it by giving them copies of the books that we swept. It was sad I could hear one of the owners screaming at the top of his lungs with the PM for Mastec telling him that it was that it was all BS and that he had given them the books for a third time! Mastec was saying that his inhouse sweeper did the work....which was funny at the time becasue this guy didn't even have a meter or any documentation to back up his work...and we did!
