on that i agree with you. someone that puts things better than i do summed it up this way.........

when you put your profits above the people that earn you those profits, you wind up with no people and no profits.

he went to work for the prime and is routing tonight..........he asked me what i want tomorrow............lets see if they let him do his job or if he's going to be superceded like the last router and be forced to give everyone one nc, one tc, and one sc........unless they are hurting......... 3 installs a service call and 2 upgrades and they'll want to know why i didn't rewire the tc.........i don't take the pictures, and i don't lie. i just tell them it's not worth it, and if that's what they want then i'll leave. AGAIN. they say that the rate is better for trouble calls, than new connects if you break down the time i spend on one. i tell them it's because i consider trouble calls to be a knowledge based pay and not a labor based pay. i have some experience so i can trouble shoot most jobs in 5 to 10 minutes, fix it in 5 and move on, while spending on average 30 feet of cable and 2 fittings. i'm not rewiring anything for free. pay me for my time and i'll bring 8 x 10's of the before and after. pay me a base rate and let me pay for the materials and you will get the job fixed. i won't even waste my time taking pix. and that's all.
