Converting Capacitance to Distance

I am just wondering if there is a formula out there to convert capacitance to distance on a copper pair. When we get our repair orders it shows the capacitance of the problem pair, so I figure that if you know the guage of the wire, you should be able to estimate the length of an open, or half open, any help would be appreciated.
