Re: Attenuators for modem TX frequencies

We have to have our upstream between 40 and 50 and our downstream between -10 and +5. So, if upstream needs to be raised, we ought to just be able to put in a splitter, but then our downstream will drop. So, if we're sitting at -7 down and we put in a splitter, our levels won't pass on the receive side. So, we amp it and then subsequently split it. This keeps downstream approximately the same while forcing up the upstream levels.

Scott, I appreciate the help. Unfortunately, I'm a lowly drop tech and was looking for something that can be put in at the drop level. If Cox had half a mind to put those in over here in Scottsdale, I wouldn't have to post this query at all. Seen those things all over the place in the Vegas system, but just about everything is new over there.
