You make a good point.
So let's leave it at that: most dawgs refering to themselves as that are not really dawgs at all, only wannabe's. A dawg is a cable worker willing to do what is necessary to bring in the green for his fam. Everyone else calling themselves such are just posers.
Our field is littered with posers, but this we knew already.
