Thanks for the answers guys. I took it apart myself and went over all the components and put it back together. Now it seems to be working. It shows the charging screen when plugged in and the battery doesn't get really hot. Also stays on now and can switch to all the downloaded Sats. programed. It's one of the first Birdogs that came out and I'm gonna order a new one next week. USB i will work with my laptop. This one I could only program it with my desktop.
