Remember the pressure taps and tubes in J'ville. Used to clear snowy pics by removing fittings at coupler and bending cable down to drain water.
Used this later with early passives, pop lid off bottom, leave open to dry, reseal and everyting okay. Remember putting in the first dish for Continental, and before that our first pay channel was Cinevue, rack of playbacks with movies next day shipped from system to system as distribution. And what was a bucket truck back then. Off air was solved by steel wool on cable at cracks and then wrap with aluminum foil as "temporary" fix.
