Looked around for a sprinkler company to install a foundation watering system, found one and we agreed on a price.
I told the European American owner that since the huge immigration protests by Hispanics last year, I now insist that any workers that work on my property be in the United States legally. I said I would take his word for it and asked him straight out, "Do you verify the legal status of your workers?"
He said he would be honest with me and told me he never asks them their legal status (which is against the law by the way). I asked if he could do it for just my job and he said no because he wasn't prejudiced. I told him it had nothing to do with prejudiced but has everything to do with the law and those that break the law.
"Well, I don't ask them" he said and I said, "Can't use ya"
