for dish commercial jobs pay more. simple. the sub pays more. i've seen many a sub be denied service at his home because he was caught pirating at his office. you get a flat rate, and that's fine, but from top to bottom the dish standards say that this sub should pay more for service and that the installer (or at least his boss) should make more. as has been stated, it is the installers responsibility to make sure that this is followed through with. not to knock the installer, but by him doing the job out of specs and technically illegally he has not only jeopardized himself, but done himself a disservice as well as the next installer. standing up for one's self does more for this industry than anything you or i could post on the bar. one person at a time.
