my shop would refuse the job if there was any other way to do it other than the peak, and would still charge me back if it failed qc even after they said do it. i don't do it. period. then it becomes a problem of serviciblility. if i can't touch it from the the ladder it doesn't get done, with a VERY few exceptions. but honestly i've never once HAD to have a 40' ladder. would have liked them several times though.
