happened to me and I was wearing safety gear. Had the hooks on and was one rung away from being able to hook my safety gear. midspan broke and catapulted me from 32 feet to the asphalt. took the impact on the right side of my body. Some one was looking out for me that day because I was not hurt beyond a limp and a lot of acheing. I am fine now but took me about 6 months to walk right again. all the contractor had to say was did you get the job done. Which I did. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this tech, I am sorry to hear that this has happened.
