Think of a box on the right of the NODE or AMP. that is running from 5 to 40 MHz and that box has an input of 15 to 20 dBmV. (I like to use 15 dBmV myself). You must add the value of the test point to that value of the return sweep system to adjust the level of your return sweep gear.
ATTENTION:
High value test point like 30 dB with Magnavox and other amp. can cause you problem. Best thing for that add a 30 dB at the output of each amp. this will give you a true value test point.
