As an employee you are controlled by employment laws. As a contractor you are free to accept or reject any project. Likewise the vendor or customer can choose to request bids from you in the future. See where this is going?
Your status is a big issue. Are you paid by the hour? Who supplies materials and transportation?
One of the ploys I have seen is offering extra money for taking jobs on Sunday.
Somehow the extra money doesn't make iot on to the checks. Nothing in writing!
You got other problems. I have been doing this stuff for several years and never lost or stole any equipment. Now I am accused of loosing 21 receivers. They are activated and sitting in customer homes. I am not paid for the work.
As advice...keep good records of were each receiver is installed and keep a copy of each customer account number with the card numbers.
