Dish or Direct from the cx point of view?

The family is dying for tv here in the sticks... no CATV (not even close enough to try and work out a trade off w/ the mso to build it here) so I am forced to go through the dish.

I don't even keep up so who should I go with? And sports doesnt matter much to me - I am way too busy working to get involved enough to follow them... Who has the best deal and how do I find a good area rep?
