Well first you have to get an industrial broom, you know the 3' one's with plenty of ground, when doing forward sweep apply even pressure or this will cause roll off most times on your top end, you may encounter suck outs when the plant you are sweeping lacks a smooth surface due to lack of maitenence, you'll see this when you go over a little knick in the surface causing a V shape,when sweeping backwards, (reverse) watch for CPD this is when the pile you are pushing becomes too much for the broom to handle meaning the area hasn't been maintained in a while causing, you can see the moisture streaks, (or spikes), a pile up of reflection, you know when the broom is missing some teeth and you get a fence post affect,
