I have heard of a way to make a wifi antenna by using a standard 18" satellite dish and a coil of copper wire. I haven't been able to find any info on the specifics, though. I am in need of a long range of 1/2 mi+. I have a 18" dish as well as a 36" dish at my disposal and a laptop with built in wifi. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it greatly.
