To make this short, think about why the company got in a jam in the first place. Why are they asking for crews to come in from out of the area? Most likely they aren't running things right to begin with. I know this might not apply to ALL companies out there.
Also, for you guys who travel and fall into this mess. If you need to ask for an advance after only a week on the job, then you probably can't afford to travel....save yourself the headache.
