Better yet, why don't you familiarize yourself with the NEC. And remember, although the NEC can be superceded by local authority, Comcast, Time Warner, Verizon, etc. are NOT local authorities, but there is a fine line between recognizing that, and the fact that they may write your paychecks. But even if you do bend the rules to suit your customer, you should at the very least know which rules you are breaking, how you are breaking them and what affect those short cuts have. The fact that you are here on the bar means that, at the very least you have internet access, which means, not only can you read the NEC, but you can download the full version to access whenever you want. Knowledge is power, especially when you are trying to cover your butt.
