Re: diagnostic page on routers

This is easily found at the website of the manufacturer of the particular product that you happen to be working with. Here are a couple examples. Remember there is no one answer that fits all, but 192.168.1.1 is very common in my experience.

-------------------For D-link Routers-------------------
Open your Web browser and type “http://192.168.0.1” into the URL address box. Then press the Enter or Return key. Select “Admin” from the User Name drop down menu and leave the password field blank.
______________________________________________________
-------------------For Linksys Routers-------------------
("192.168.1.1" is the default IP of most Linksys routers) Leave the User name space blank, type in your router’s password ("admin" is the default password)
______________________________________________________
-------------------For Netgear Routers-------------------
Most Netgear routers are 192.168.1.1 as well. The user name is admin and the password is password, in lower case letters.
