Suing the feds?

I watched an interview on CNN last night with the prez of the ACLU, who is a big advocate for illegals (unfortunately). He was asked to sue the federal government for failure to uphold the law in regard to illegals being here, and he said he has to have a "client" to do that. In doing a little googling, it looks like a process that needs some investigation, as some officials have "immunity" - but they did have a case where a judge stated the following: "Decency, security and liberty alike demand that government officials shall be subjected to the rules of conduct that are commands to the citizen. In a government of laws, existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. Our government is the potent, omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for the law, it invites every man to come a law unto himself. It invites anarchy." I am going to look further into this, before the Cuban refugees start bombarding the coastline....as 40 of them already did and, of course, because of our policies, they can stay cos they made it to shore. Some of this stuff belongs in Ripley's "Believe it or Not." Thanks for letting me pick your brains this Friday morning!(usa)
