teaching a "greenhorn" to splice "hot"?! What a teacher! These days, with fluctuating voltage below 90 on up to 110 and equip. that allow a short to blow all the way back to the power supply, cuttin' hot isn't what you want to teach a new guy! Teaching them to not be lazy and pull the fuse at that legs amp might be a better method. It ain't just TV anymore!!! Later, Mike M. P.S. Yes ,bein' a wise guy, and yes i do own screw drivers with tell tale weld marks!
