You made the remark ,

This should NOT be a basis on which installs rates should be adjusted. More volume equals money. Hell, if anything they should offer an incentive program for the most correctly completed installs.
And yes, you do have some control over it. When it comes down to it.
We all have the ability to negotiate our prices. It's just that some don't practice that right. If it is a price you don't like, don't take it. No one forced you to take it. By taking the sh8 prices you are inadvertently screwing yourself. It makes a statement of" I'll take whatever you throw at me". Don't you think your skills and time are worth more?
