I have done an offer of compromise with the IRS. They will work with you on it. I worked a very large Tax debt. You do not need an attorney. You need a CPA. "DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THOSE ADS YOU SEE ON TV" If you need me to repeat that let me know. I have been down that road. I am giving you some very good advise. Get a reputable CPA. It will cost you a few extra dollars in services. But timely fillings and knowing the tax laws will save you ten's of thousands of dollars. Thats the voice of experience. You will have to pay your tax. But that can be worked out. (IRS) State taxes? Hold on to your hat. They do not make any deals. They are very manipulative and ruthless. Get a CPA. Good luck!
