I gotta news flash for you all. I've worked on a lot of Verizons' FTTP projects. I have spent at least 25% of my time correcting incredibly bad work from all the two week wonders they allowed on they're property. A lot of the work should have hit the ground and been completely re-done. On top of that all of the existing copper telephone cable is covered with squrrel guard and the fiber optic cable is dialectric (no armor) and some of those tree rats were almost as big as cats. It won't be long. That cable will be chewed to pieces in a very short period of time. Believe me, there is going to be a lot of maintenance.
