You are not at all off base. I got the info from the so called prime of this project. He is paying $2 per address to: retag drop, move or replace traps from the house box to the ped or pole, change fittings, and document. I figured if I was lucky I could make $100 a day, maybe a little more if the system did not have right of way or nasty dogs in the yard. Sounds like a waste of time for me and a disaster for the prime and MSO. The last audit I did I was paid $3 per address, but all I had to do was verify on or off, drop cable, and needed tap changes. I was making $400+ a day. It was even faster on the overhead plant with a cheap pair of binoc's.
