There is always another side to the story. Who knows what this one is.
I have been tempted to "liberate" a dog from homeowners that were mistreating an otherwise loveable pup, and HAVE called the humane society on a few.
We have all been in alot of backyards, and seen things there that make you wonder how people can live this way, or treat an animal poorly.
I always try to give the man in the field the benefit of the doubt, but, I suppose, it is DEFINATELY possible that someone simply stole the dog because they were a heartless SOB, with more greed than sense
