I could not believe this myself when told by local Feds. They say they were told by DC . To me this would mean any employye for a cable company or phone company would fall under this ruling and not be entitled to OT. Seems insane. Many workers though are still being shortchanged on minimum wage. If you are an employee make sure that your true hours are tracked. If you are working alot of hours piece rate divide up your hours into your total pay. If not minimum wage go rt to labor board. They will go after this with vigor.
In the meantime I will continue to pay my employees OT on pirce rate as the rules seem to change daily
