Sounds like Ana'

I've read Work Is There: I'm a prime contractor, been doing it for some 40 years. Work in this industry "IS NOT" there for the legal working man/woman. It all depends on "Who's Your Daddy", Is the MSO paying your check, Is it the prime contractor paying you. Depends on WHO you work for in regards to how you look at this business. Work is down, Rates are down-nothing coming back until this industry is forced into doing total REBUILDS, instead of these patch jobs. The guys out here doing the actual work all know whats going on, it's just the guys sitting in an office, drawing a pay check that don't understand what is happening out here, they just listen to some other management puppet.
Hang in there, work will come back. As for labor rates, it the prime makes more, he'll keep more, as long as they can continue to find CHEAP LABOR. Cheap labor isn't coming across the border, its the don't give a dam attitude of the MSO. as long as they get there paying subscribers, they don't care what happens out in the field. "They will Soon find out once Ma Bell gets cranked up."
