Got into a discussion with a fellow co-worker today about the digital transition that is suppose to happen in 2010. Since i don't work in the CATV field anymore i am not sure about this subject.
The disagreement is this:
When the deadline comes about is it only over the air transmissions that are required to be digital or are the CATV companies required to send all video digital as well. I am under the impression that since CATV is a "sealed" system that they can still run analog signal.
I have tried looking this up, but reading some of that stuff is confusing. If anyone has info and a site to back it up please let me know.
