Wake Up MSO's-these patch jobs that we are doing won't hold up to this competition, your system maintenance is basically non existence. You have a lack of enforcement with System construction standards. As long as the MSO presently has an active subscribers-they are happy. They need to be looking long term, where are the visonary leaders in this industry. I've invested some 40 years in OSP CATV construction, I'm sorry to say that I now have to move over to Ma Bell to offer my employees and their family any type of job security.
This industry has nothing to offer the contractor, if your looking long term. Good Luck to the MSO in keeping the active Cable Subscriber, If IPTV service keeps expanding, you won't need a TV Set. Therefore-No Contractor.
