i disagree. they want more than if it works, they want to call you at 3 am when they can't remember how to record m*a*s*h* because they saved your cell number when you called for directions, they want you to come out at 9:30 at night because they wanted to go out to dinner and couldn't possibly take a few hours off work (even though they work at home), they want you to mount your dish out of spec on a 22 pitch roof in a rainstorm, and they want you to install their surround sound, mount the plasma, and move the power outlet so that no wires can be seen. they want it all for free, and even if it works they will be pisssed when they want the whole house rewired because they rearranged the furniture (moved the tv 3 feet, but again a longer cord would just clash with the dvd porn cases laying around the entertainment center and a month's worth of dirty laundry) and you tell them for the 10th time to quit calling you at 3am because you aren't doing anything for free! but yeah, primes and mso's both cut prices, and both play games to negotiate the invoices of those doing work for them because if they cut the (advertised) prices anymore people won't work.
but at least it's not everyday :)
have a good one
