I second that, a real contractor is supposed to have allot more freedoms such as work hours and the work itself. But with all of the primes out there want to pay almost employee prices and not contractor prices but still they want you to have your own truck, tools, insurances and gas but call you and employee. But yet they work you like a contractor with crappy employee pay. I have only worked for one prime here in texas that actually treated you as a contractor and nothing more that was A&M cable. they payed the highest rate and you could actually live good as a contractor should because we bust our ass. If i wanted to make 600 dollars a week i would work for the cable company and do my 4 jobs a day with overtime because i am lazy.
