You got the hose right up the tookus. The problem is ... You did it to yourself.

You're best bet is to cut your losses now, move on, and vow to never enter into another business agreement without it being in writing.

Asking for a lawyer AFTER you got shafted is like asking for Malaria pills AFTER you've already caught the disease. Next time hit the 'ole Bar here first and save yourself some headaches.

Sure ... You could get a lawyer to after this guy, but what he's gonna charge you will probibly be equal to or more than what the guy owes you. Not to mention all the energy you're going to expend in chasing this turd.
