I wonder about that also...in addition, what about the cost of the courses and who is "certified" to teach them? What makes this certification "the one" the MSO wants or needs? I think the last thing any working man/woman has time for is sitting in a classroom to have someone decide if they know what they are doing or not....the concept of certification may be good, but there are already many certified people out there who don't have work, and not only in the cable world....as my hub says about degrees, all it proves is that you finished what you started as far as college....work ethic says more than a certification, you have the "creative billers" and the "hacks" and the "real cable dawgs" and the "ghost crews".....whew....good question, johned...all I could see from the posts is that the college is obviously in NC somewhere...maybe it's a local community college of some kind. I'm sure Jerry will answer tho, to keep everyone informed.
