I went to a cpl sites to read up on Hanoi Jane I still see that she did not directly cause harm to Nam troops yes on a personal basis damn right she should have been horse wipped if not now hmmmmm? She stated then she was a socialist/communist. Is her apology ever going to nullify what you think no and don't blame you one bit. She should been/be dumping her riches to the needy vets of that cause, it's never to late.
Never made it to Nam got lucky I guess but I know if someone had spit on me I'd been coming over that 10ft chain link fence(airports) and hammered home what was deserved.
Not being facetious did you actually get spit on? When and where? One reason I ask is I know of only one other person that states that had and in a round-about-way he really didnt say it happened to him. But he also states that 14% of actual troops in Nam saw combat his complaint of the lies of PTSD and why their *ucked up today so they claim. I'd like to state what I know for a fact. I was from a town of 4000 pop. and a few served there was no one cutting down our troops. To top that off I've never talked to anyone personally in 39 years since that ever EVER said anything bad about anyone that had to live/serve the Vietnam Nightmare, NOT ONE. One point I'd like to make is practically every Vietnam Vet I've met claims to be screwed up from Nam. Just googled how many served in Nam rounded off 2,710,000 x .14 =379,000 appr. saw combat. For the most 90% I've met that were in Nam claimed to be *ucked up in the head bcz of Nam. Damn high ratio by chance that I met, I think.
We could argue till the day we die Lightmaster and never agree on anything about Nam or Iraq. You experienced the one and we neither xperienced the other but I don't refute one bit your up on me for the most from Nam. I'm not claiming your delusional at all but some are and have been maybe for 35-40yrs without accord.
Point about fonda sitting on the guns is no diff. than me posting pics.of a bradley copter or jet that will be used to kill a kid and innocents(not intentional ). Sorry don't have the total proof but then who does when your being spun by both sides of the political spectrum but they say that 90% casualties of war are civilians and that's enough for me to tell these pieces of $hit what I think of them and their bull$hit wars based on deception.
I can't change your thinking nor you I we either tolerate each other and live amongst ourselves or stay embattled to the end trying to destroy each other so it seems on the big scale(earth). Soundsand looks familiar on the little and the big. Which shall it be?
