Lashdawg,
As always: These opinions are not to offend any persons or group of people.
Here is what you should do to alleviate some of your problems and put you on the road to a successful career.
1)Call all of your financial institutions and tell them that you are switching jobs and that payments are going to be late this month. Pay them something to make them believe you. 10-15 dollars anything is better than nothing man.
2)Find a computer and build a resume and make sure you use your spell check.
3)Go find the nearest cable company and submit an on line application for an in-house position.
4)Go find another cable company and submit an on line application for an in-house position.
5)No, that was not a typo.
6)Show up for your interview in well dressed clothes. Be professional and utilize your knowledge and years of experience to land a position.
7)Contact all of your financial institutions and send them another small payment and inform them of your new position with a solid cable company, provide them with the name.
8)Take your knowledge and utilize it to advance in the company.
9)Continue to benefit from a solid paycheck week to week with no worries of the above unforeseen circumstances we have all dealt with in our lives from being a contractor.
10)Start to make your payments again and regain credit with all of your finances.
11)Reap the benefits of having benefits that prolong a better life for you and your family.
12)Build a 401K so you can someday retire while living healthy and remembering this reply that some guy sent you on the bar reaching out to help someone make the right step forward for him and his family. Times get tough and bills get bigger, but the quality of you and your families life sit in your hands.
Life is all about choices.
Remember one thing: None of us are going to get rich by working for someone else, but we can live healthy and comfortable by making decent choices.
Contracting is great man don't get me wrong, but at some point you will need to settle down, stop moving from job to job, and build a career.
