We are using this service to provide content for our simulcast (temporarily). The technology is pretty low end, and depending on your particular need, can be expensive to deploy.
Content is supplied us via Ku band from the Dish Network satellites at 110, 115 degrees.
A couple of things to bear in mind:
You must have a retrans agreement in place with the affiliate. This is the only thing that spares you from falling into the puddle of mud known as "distant signal carriage".
Additionally, don't expect too much from the resultant video. Its only equal to the performance of the encoders at the uplinking station. Some of them are using junk.
