Has anyone ever setup a SEMM 8 by Motorola using a PC (SEMM-EM)?
I will not be using any of the advanced features. Only taking broadcast digital and retransmitting them on an EIA channel (256 quam).
Is it better to use the rs232 port on front to access and manage the sytem or to use the enet1 port on back?
I have read the book but am confused as to where I will be able to assign an IP address to the unit to access the software. I have the mac address.
Any tips would be appreciated. (PC is a good 20' from rack)
Also this PC has winxp and the manual states it works on win nt and 2000 (would xp work also?)
