I have seen this and we have fixed it with using an 048 AGC card at the amp before the LE. That would help knock down the hump. We would end up with 4dB Peak to Valley at 5 actives out using at the most 1 trim in the run.

The other tech was talking about short spaced actives, you could use a Cable Simulator (SA's NAME), which basically does the opposite of a standard EQ.
