Re: border agents going to jail

The agents aren't being punished for upholding the laws of this land, rather they are being punished for breaking the unwritten laws of crime and punishment.

Crime and punishment in this country are an industry. A highly profitable one at that. Law enforcement officials from the judges and lawyers, to the prisons both privatised and govt. run, all the way down to the agents and beat cops all have their hands in the big pie. Simple arithmetic....no crime....no need for alot of those jobs.....private companies supplying prisons and other related needs in the industry....as well as all the accounted and un-accounted for assets seized in raids and other law enforcement activities.
If you notice it's always the sad sack who ends up doing time in prison now days simply because he or she can't afford justice via an attorney, or the judges deem them not the type of person who will go and and commit more crimes and create further revenue so them being in jail keeps the prisons and their related industries thriving.

Supply and demand my friend. The ilegalls supply both cheap work force for mega corps and others that use them, and at the same time keep the crime #'s up so that higher budgets ( at the taxpayers expense) are given to the crime and punishment industry.
