Here's how it works legally speaking.
CSECOMM,LLC. signs a contract with a no-compete clause with company XXX.
King James then signs on with CSECOMM,LLC. King James bills CSECOMM for the work he does, company XXX NEVER sees a invoice with King James name on it, only invoices from CSECOMM.
Now CSECOMM can't compete against company XXX, but King James NEVER signed a no-compete claused contract with company XXX, so he is free to compete against them.
Legally speaking, a LLC is a totally seperate entity from the person(s) that formed it. It's also a great way to protect your personal assetts from claims ariseing from any number of matters which could arise. It also offers great tax benefits. For example, I lease my bucket truck from my LLC, along with my wife's vehicle and can write those expenses off, I rent my travel trailer from my LLC, and so on and so on. Talk to a good CPA and he/she can explain the benefits to you.
