ALL the more reason for at least an 8-team playoff...maybe even 16 if you eliminate one of the creampuff games that most teams play during the regular season. Imagine March Madness if only the #1 and #2 team in the nation got to play for the national championship. Sounds kinda boring, doesn't it? Plenty of time in the Christmas Break for those 3 (or 4) extra games to be played, so university presidents can't come back with the old "we can't take kids out of the classroom any more than they already are" argument.
