D9828 to IRT issue

Any one here have any experience with the WE transition using a D9828? Trying to get this thing to talk to an IRT. Rainbow medias tech support was ZERO help. SA covered only basic troubleshooting. HITS has the been the most help, but beyond authorizing the IRT, no other info. D9828 is authorized for channel. IRT is authorized to pass channel, but we still get the dreaded 'one moment please'. Everything seems correct, including PID info, but channel is still dark.
