Re: need advise buying a meter

I bought an Acutrac III from Sadoun supply in OH. They sold me a new one but shipped me one that was new, although you could clearly tell it had been returened( batts in it, cardboard packing ripped, etc.). DONT WASTE YOUR $$. I install both DTV and Dish, have for 5+ years and used Acutrac 22, and 22pro. Both are good meters, I've had no trouble with sig. strength or finding a sat since I was a rookie. This new meter, the III, is not sensitive enough to find DTV 110 reliablely! It might have been just the one I have but I tried it on a few different installs, ( 5 lnb ka/ku , 101, 110, 119 DTV, 119 DP lnb) all registered signal but fine tuneing was very hard. I also tried it on a 95, and 72.5 T/C with no success.(*Acutrac III not made for 72.5+95 sat)

FYI I did try to adjust the settings, I still have a little sense left in me.
